By analyzing whole blood, VET delivers fast, functional insights. Today, VET is supported by numerous publications, guidelines and recommendation statements, and is considered an indispensable method in the management of coagulopathy in surgery, trauma, childbirth and intensive care.

Our strategy

We develop robust, easy-to-use semi-automatic analyzers equipped with highly sensitive sensors for monitoring the blood coagulation process, combined with best-in-class assays. Our customers choose our solutions for their unique combination of medical value, flexibility and cost-effectiveness. Our solutions are based on established and proven test principles, enhanced with modern, innovative reagents.

Reagent tip technology

To provide a comprehensive portfolio of assays, Apiro applies proprietary reagent tip technology. Each pipette tip contains a reagent carrier (A) with dry reagents. When blood is aspirated (B),the reagents are automatically reconstituted. This eliminates all reagent handling for the user.

This technology enables us to offer a broad range of assays without resorting to fixed four-channel cartridges, which would restrict diagnostic flexibility and force users to run —and pay for— unnecessary tests.

Alexey trained as a mechanical engineer and has worked in life sciences for 10 years, at companies including Karl Storz, Haemonetics and RetInSight.

Commercial Director

With a long track record in hemostasis innovation, Marc has led international commercial teams and helped bring landmark technologies—such as Multiplate® and ClotPro®—into clinical practice. He combines deep product expertise with strategic commercial leadership.

Dr. Moni Soroush

Director of R&D

Moni holds a PhD in biological sciences, and is an expert in viscoelastometry dry reagent technology with a 7 year tenure at enicor.

Professor Michael Spannagl

Senior Advisor

Michael is a specialist in internal medicine and haemostasis and has served as general secretary for the Society for Thrombosis and Haemostasis Research (GTH) and chairman of the Instand proficiency testing organization. He has authored more than 300 publications and book chapters including national and international standards and guidelines. Michael supports apiro in the field of risk management and general aspects of diagnostics and haemostasis.

Senior Advisor

Herbert is an anesthesiologist with extensive and prolific experience in coagulation management. He is an author of more than 100 publications and book chapters including international and national guidelines. Herbert supports apiro in the field of clinical development.
